Automotive events seem to be so far and few between these days. Maybe it’s just me. But absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say. Being in an octane-rich atmosphere is something I’ve grown up loving, but sadly don’t get to experience very much of anymore. So much so that sometimes now I reminisce about when I used to wake up early on a Sunday morning for my regular fix of automotive culture. Cars And Coffee Sydney ignited that joy for me again by returning for their first event of 2017 at Jones Bay Wharf, beside the location for Concours d’Elegance held earlier in the year. It was the perfect place to be on a cool morning in the month of May – at the water’s edge, touching the backs of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, and in the presence of some very hallowed automotive machinery.
